The Jordan Language Academy (JLA) Scholarship for Winter Course or Semester II 2025/2026 is designed to support outstanding university students who show academic excellence, financial need, and a strong commitment to Arabic language and cultural studies. These highly competitive scholarships offer the opportunity to participate in a full-time, intensive Arabic language and culture course in Amman, Jordan for winter course or semester II .Students can choose one of these two sessions to apply to – but not both.

Academic Excellence: Strong academic performance and proven dedication to language study

Financial Need: Priority given to students with demonstrated financial hardship

Arabic Proficiency: Intermediate level of Arabic required

Departmental Nomination: Formal nomination by a relevant academic department

Cultural Engagement: Demonstrated enthusiasm for cross-cultural exchange

Personal Statement: Motivated and thoughtful explanation of academic goals and scholarship relevance

Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by JLA staff
Nomination & Application Process
Academic departments must submit an official Letter of Nomination endorsing the applicant.
Note: The Letter of Nomination and the Letter of Recommendation must be written by different individuals.
The Nomination Letter is an official endorsement from the academic department (typically by a department head or academic advisor), confirming the student’s eligibility and academic standing.
The Recommendation Letter should come from a professor or mentor who can speak to the student’s character, academic work, and commitment to Arabic language learning.
Nominated students must submit the following documents in one email to info@jordanla.com, ensuring all files are named with the applicant’s full name. The subject line of the email must be: "Scholarship Application – [Full Name] – [Winter Course or Semester II]"

Personal statement (1–2 pages) describing academic and career goals, financial need, and commitment to Arabic study

Faculty Letter of Recommendation

Arabic Essay: 500–700 words in Arabic explaining your interest in studying at JLA, how the scholarship will help achieve your goals, and how you plan to engage in cultural exchange

Interview (for shortlisted applicants)
Evaluation Criteria: Academic performance, financial need, Arabic essay, interview performance, and nomination endorsement.
Note: Students must clearly indicate in their application whether they are applying for the Winter Course or Semester II.
Applicants may apply to only one session. Multiple applications will not be considered.

Scholarship Disbursement
Scholarship funds will be applied directly to tuition fees at JLA.
Recipients are responsible for all additional expenses, including airfare, housing, meals, insurance, excursions, and personal costs.
