Arabic Language & Culture Scholarships – Summer 2027

The Jordan Language Academy (JLA) is pleased to announce its Arabic Language & Culture Scholarships – Summer 2027, offering competitive scholarships to outstanding university students interested in Arabic language and cultural studies. The program provides an exceptional opportunity to strengthen Arabic language skills through intensive instruction while experiencing the rich history and culture of Jordan.
Held in the heart of Amman, Jordan, this four-week immersive program combines high-quality language education with meaningful cultural engagement, creating an ideal environment for academic and personal growth.
Summer 2027 Sessions
Applicants may apply for one of the following sessions:

Students may apply for only one session.
Scholarship Opportunities
For each session and language level, JLA offers:
- 1 Full Scholarship covering 100% of tuition fees
- 1 Partial Scholarship covering 70% of tuition fees
Please note that scholarships apply toward tuition fees only. Students are responsible for their own airfare, accommodation, meals, insurance, transportation, and personal expenses.
Available Language Levels
Scholarships are available for students at the following Arabic proficiency levels:
- Advanced Beginner
- Intermediate
- Advanced
Applicants will be placed in the level most appropriate to their language proficiency.

The program is designed to help students improve their Arabic language skills while gaining a deeper understanding of Jordanian and Arab culture through an immersive educational experience.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Strong academic performance
- Demonstrated financial need
- Appropriate Arabic language proficiency
- Official departmental nomination
- Interest in cultural exchange
- Submission of a personal statement and participation in an interview (for shortlisted candidates)
Required Application Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Academic transcripts
- Personal statement (1–2 pages)
- Faculty recommendation letter
- Arabic essay (500–700 words)
- Department nomination letter
Important: The recommendation letter and the department nomination letter must be written by different individuals.
